ok, two small chidren, under 2 years old were beaten badly. They say that the police should of sealed off the area when the ambulance left with the children and that the same rules apply to this crime scene, as a death crime scene, yes or no. Meaning they should of sealed it off collected evidence and took pictures, then sealed the home up untill the invetigation is over with. It would not be treated the same as a homicide crime scene. Officers can photograph, document and collect evidence for the investigation without having to seal the home. Its would be a few hour ordeal, but not as intensive as a homicide.
most definetly if they were beaten that badly that they could possibly die, the case could easily turn into a murder case.
I live in Texas, and yes, they are supposed to....otherwise, the perps could get off on technecalities...
