Why do you advocate a domestic violence order when it has been proven that 98% of cases are false accusations?

Of course, out of all statistics, 60% are considered unreliable, 50 % are considered factually false, and 40% are thought to be fabricated to lend support to a persons ideology. Why do you advocate a domestic violence order when it has been proven that 98% of cases are false accusations?
There is currently no research that proves your statistic. While there are definately cases where an alleged victim will recant his/her story before prosecution or after a protective order has been issued, that does not mean the victim was lying. People can be forced into recanting or will do so for their own personal reasons.

Domestic violence is a crime that can victimize both men and women. Please do not assume that women are the only ones who can be abused. However, police reports and CDC research, along with research done for over the past 30 years, has consistently shown that women are the victim the majority of the time.

Your question is based on a false assumption and is therefore incorrect. Why do you advocate a domestic violence order when it has been proven that 98% of cases are false accusations?
Where are you getting your statistics from? A link to this, please.

Edit to the poster below: Good one! Figures don't lie, but liars figure. In college, I was able to prove a positive correlation between the number of English teachers and infant mortality in Ghana. Huh?
Proven by whom? Link please.
