I'm already planning a military career, but my friends don't believe me that it is true that every male 18 or older must put his name in a possible draft. So, is it true or false?True or False: Any American Male who turns 18 must register under the draft in case of war?
Kind of true and false. You must register with the Selective Service. There is no draft. Every male must register. The penalties for not can range far and wide.True or False: Any American Male who turns 18 must register under the draft in case of war?
True... However it is called ';Selective Service';. This is in case the draft were to ever happen.
FALSE. ALL American males must register upon their 18th birthday for the SELECTIVE SERVICE. This is not the same thing as a draft at all. It is just a registry service in case there is ever a draft. Nothing to fear, just register your info. If you don't you also don't get to attend college or get student loans until you register.
True.
True.
Male 18 - 25 Years old is required by federal laws to registered under US Selective Service.
Failure to do so is imprisonment.
However, the part that I don't understand is people who is just became US citizen after 26 Years old. I am guessing that the draft age is between 18 - 25 years old.
There is no draft however this is rumor going around about a universal draft act. The universal draft make it mandatory to get the draft out easier.

True, but it's called ';selective service'; I think you can not register, but you miss out on any government aid in life.
Their won't be a draft though, but they want to be prepared just in case.
Yes and no. I didn't, but I joined the reserves a month later, so I wasn't technically a draft-dodger.
